ABOUT
Michael Madden was apprenticed to the London-based, master-decorator Len Pardon. He later took an M.A at UEL and a Higher Diploma (Restoration) at City and Guilds of London Art School, where he spent an extra year modelling from the human form.
During his career, he has contributed work to famous London buildings: including:the Ritz Casino, the Sultan of Oman’s Palace, Bridgewater House, Sion College, The London Coliseum, St Bartholomew the Great Church - Smithfield, Christchurch - Spitalfields and the Natural History Museum, working either for architects and public bodies as a sole trader or with other skilled tradesmen on carved, sculpted, period-style-wall-decorations and on various restoration projects. Since 2001, he has also made environmental/political artworks for private sale, from which a percentage goes to Greenpeace. |
